Eye Candy Typology

 

Hotheaded, tough, naive, pure-hearted hero

It is perhaps the most common  "sort" of male hero, probably because it is "masculine" enough without missing a touch of humanity and gentleness that makes them more accessible to the public. We feel sorry for them when they suffer and are even ready to put their heads on ours laps and pet them after they have had their Asses kicked in a battle...

As you can see, they are physically very similar: short dark hair, a rather shabby air, middle height and no bulging muscles, but that does not make them less strong. There is a certain air of naivety in their faces, something childish that allows them to play some very sensitive scenes during the plot.

They often have a tendency to behave in a way that we could only describe as baka ('foolish', 'silly'), but that is just compatible with the purity of heart that is their greatest virtue.

(Obs.: Those of you who know Tsuzuki (Yomi no Matsuei) know that he isn't exactly tough or hot-headed, very much the opposite. However, I am putting him in this category even so because of his looks and his pure heart - and the baka part is certainly there!).
