Lazy, devil-may-care playboy
This kind of hero seems to be a bit rarer in manga and anime, maybe because they are more "adult" and up to now most series we have access to in the West are dedicated mostly to children and teenagers.
These characters are physically very similar: they are tall and very slim, have short hair (or shoulder-long) and wear tight clothes that bring up their lanky, sensual figure and often let us see some flesh. They keep a relaxed, slouchy posture and a infuriating scoundrel's air around them.
They usually drop themselves on a sofa or a chair and just seem to wish the world to end quietly just so they don't have to move a muscle. Actually, they only seem to wake up when it is time for lunch or a pretty woman comes near them. Then they put all their charm into action and try to pass an image of someone that has complete control of the situation and are totally blasé to whatever happens around them, as if everything were too boring for people as experienced as they are.
However, the "playboys" usually have a soft heart and a great need for attention and affection, so that they often get into trouble because of their exceedingly trust in their power of seduction, since they can never see when a woman is just using them or pretending to be interested just in order to get them killed later.
But, when it comes to it, they really can perform their part. Although they take no pleasure in violence and strive up to the last minute not to hurt anybody, they always do what is needed, even if they have to suffer a lot with grief and guilty later on.
