Tough shrimp
Well, this "model" of a character does not attract me very much and I wouldn't even put a page about them in the gallery, since I privately do not consider them as eye candy. However, according to what I have seen in the Web and in the letters addressed to manga series, they do seem to be very popular among girls. All right, let's not argue about taste, since they are a remarkable and very specific kind of hero, so I decided to dedicate them a page as well.
As the title implies, they are very short and because of that have to suffer eternal teasing. That is, "suffer" is something they really won't do, since they are extremely volatile and violent and hardly speak without a snarl. Actually they prefer to restrict themselves to a disdainful "hun" almost all the time. However, deep in their hearts, they very appreciate their friends' company and know pretty well that they need them, even if they would rather die than admit it.
They usually show no consideration towards their opponents (or towards theirs friends as well) and believe that the best enemy is a dead one. Although extremely fast and very intelligent, they very often stumble at their arrogance and must learn in the difficult way that sometimes one has to yield control to others in order to reach a higher goal.
Physically they all look very similar: small, slim but well built and muscular, with black, spiky hair. Their facial expression is always serious, with a perpetual frown and disdainful attitude towards everybody and everything. They are extremely fast and nimble and wear practical, close-fitting clothes suited to facilitate their movements, always black, so as to make them look more dangerous. They usually sport boots, gloves and/or bandages to protect their hands and feet, since they always put a lot of power into their jumps and races. They do not care for their looks at all, but in some mysterious way they manage to be always spotless, despite all havoc they cause around themselves.
